Ysgol Cynefin is a special school for pupils with additional learning needs arising from Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD). The school is made up of two sites within the city of Cardiff and caters for 36 pupils on each site (72 in total) primary-aged pupils who each have an Individual Development Plan (IDP). Many of the pupils who attend have additional 'barriers to learning' including ADHD, ASD, ODD and mental health difficulties.
